My Gofa Fitness App Review
What makes the Gofa fitness app unique?
What drew me to want to try the app is that it’s powered by AI technology. If you so choose, you can follow along with the workout and your front facing camera will track your movements, count your reps, and can even analyzes your form. If you have a smartwatch you can also connect it to the app and it will help you stay in the right heart rate zone and more!
You also have the choice to ignore all of that and just follow along on your terms. I love that they make it more personalized and interactive to meet you where you are.
Here’s a short video that highlights some of the features:
How tough are the workouts?
The workouts range from low intensity, medium, and high intensity. You have a wide variety to choose from to help you reach your goals or just move your body intuitively that day.
The high intensity workouts are definitely TOUGH. I would consider myself a very fit person and they pushed me to my limits. Of course you can always pause a workout when needed and take longer breaks-but I loved the challenge!
Like I said before, no matter your fitness level you’ll find something to fit you on the app!
What type of workouts are on the Gofa fitness app?
The Gofa app has a variety of workouts including strength training, yoga, pilates, cardio, flexibility and even running. They also have a bunch of different focused plans to help you stay organized, focus, and to have even better results!
Here are some of the plans on the app currently:
- Total Body Shred, 30 days
- Intro to Pilates, 21 days
- 5k Challenge, 30 days
- Stretch It Out, 10 days
No matter what you want to improve on, they have a plan to help you get there!
How long are the workouts?
The workouts range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. Most are in between. I love that even when I only have a few minutes I can still get in a great workout! The trainers are all very motivating and helpful at giving proper form cues so you stay safe.
How much does the Gofa fitness app cost?
You can try out the app for 7 days free! After that you’ll have the choice to pay month to month or yearly. It’s $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year.
This is pretty standard for most fitness apps. I think it stands out a little in the fact that you have multiple types of workout and specific plans to choose from and the AI monitoring is a unique feature as well.
Any criticism of the app?
There were a few things I thought that could be improved- but overall I think this is a great fitness app to help you get fit at home!
Here’s what I think could be better:
- Some of the workouts started without a proper warm up and the cool down was either extremely short or non-existent. Proper warm ups and cool downs are essential for preventing injury and proper recovery. Just be aware that you may need to warm up and cool down on your own!
- Sometimes I have trouble connecting my phone screen to my TV so I could follow along on a bigger screen. (Could have been user error on my end.) And even on a small screen I could still follow along just fine.
I would definitely recommend downloading the app for a free trial and see it’s a good fit for you! If you plan on buying a subscription I would also recommend trying out one of their plans so you can get workouts specific to your goals. I also think it’s great to have on hand for days when you just want a break from your normal routine and need something new.
I hope you found this Gofa fitness app review helpful! Have you tried the Gofa fitness app before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
