4 Easy Workout Hairstyles for Long Hair
I know I’m specifying long hair, but many of these would also be perfect for short and medium hair too!
- Low ponytail with a side braid.
This easy workout hairstyle takes all of 2 minutes and even if you aren’t great at braiding hair, you can totally do this one! Simply separate a small section of your hair in the front on whichever side you prefer. You can just braid it normally, or I like to kind of half french braid the first few sections to give it more of a put together look.

- Messy Bun/High Pony with Headband
Does it get any easier than a high pony/messy bun? Here’s a confession. I can’t figure out messy buns to save my life. So what I do instead is a kind of messy bun with a cute headband to distract from the fact that I haven’t totally mastered the messy bun. My favorite workout headbands are from Maven Thread!

- French braided pigtails
Okay another confession. It has taken SO much practice to be able to french braid my own pigtails. So don’t feel bad if you can’t get this one right away! I love this look for the gym, the beach, or just casual work days when i just need my hair out of my face.
- Messy Low Pony with Hat
This one is so easy and simple it you almost have to ask, does it even count as a hairstyle? In my opinion YES because a cute hat can really make you look more put together than you really are lol. Use a soft scrunchy with this style to reduce creases in your hair. After your workout you can let your hair down and no one will even know you just worked out!
Hope you find these easy workout hairstyles for long hair useful! What are your go-to gym hairstyles? Let me know in the comments!
